Hello Star Wars Fans Everywhere!!!
From April 13th to April 16th, 2017, at Florida’s Orlando County Convention Center was the Star Wars Celebration! My dad and I both had an absolute blast, it was so cool. We were able to watch the opening panels on Thursday and Friday, we actually only went to the event on Friday and Saturday, but we had the time of our lives!
We really didn’t know what to expect going in, I mean, we watched the Celebration video so we had an idea, the thrill of living in that moment of being there, seeing the awesomely unique cosplayers, all of the booths, the displays, Lego dioramas that were built, it was all just so mind blowing. I have two videos on my Facebook page @stevef.starwarseverything, one video shows you all of the Lego dioramas that they had set up.
The other video was of all of the cars, trucks, and vans they had all decked out in Star Wars accessories. I would have to say the vehicle I liked the most was the Darth Vader truck, Vader was on the hood, and on the drivers side of the truck with his lightsaber going down the truck. There was a Stormtrooper on the passenger side shooting his blaster, and on the tailgate was a very nicely display of the Dark Side of the force characters!
We didn’t go to any of the panels, nor did we get any autographs, we simply went to see what we could see and enjoy what was going on, and we did just that! Unfortunately we were not able to get inside the Celebration store, the line was so long they had it shut down every time we went by it. We are a little bummed that we didn’t get to see it and see what they had inside, but we didn’t let it ruin our trip.
I bought quite a few things while at the event, such as K-2SO die cast elite series figure, a few pops, we purchased a grab bag which contained some really cool items in it. I would have to say the coolest collectible I purchased, is the Kotobukiya R2-D2 and Yoda set on Dagobah! The set also came with a ghost Yoda too. I love the way it’s so easy to put together and how it’s magnetic on the bottoms of each character, so they’re more stable on the base.
What did you get from the Star Wars Celebration? Did you get autographs? I heard a lot of people weren’t happy with the organization of the panels, and with the lines for exclusive items and wristbands. How was your experience? How many days did you go for? Seeing the 501st Legion get their group photo was awesome too. There were so many cosplayers, it truly was an awesome thing to see!
Below are some of the pictures that I took while I was at the Star Wars Celebration, to see the rest of the photos I took, click here! Thanks and I hope you enjoy!
I would like to personally thank you for visiting Star-Wars-Everything.com, and this page, where I told you how my experience was at the Star Wars Celebration. Next time they have one, I would like to go for all four days, and get some autographs or photo ops. Pretty much what I wasn’t able to do this year, I’d like to do next time : ). I can’t wait to hear how your experience was, and the cool collectibles you got too. Please feel free, below to post some of your photos as well. Thanks again!
